After a six-hour radical hysterectomy, I was told I had ovarian cancer. Three weeks later, doctors informed me it was stage 3 ovarian cancer and my only hope was radical chemotherapy and radiation. To be exact, they said that with chemotherapy and radiation treatment, I had a 1% chance to live for a year; without it, I had a 0% chance to live even for a year.

I felt like they didn’t have answers for me and i should not complete their suggested treatments, but I knew Jesus had all the answers. Jesus’ Word says that by His stripes, I am completely healed (Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24). Jesus’ Word says no weapon formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Jesus said in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has plans for my life-plans to prosper me and give me great health and a great future. Jesus said to commit all my plans to Him and He would make them succeed (Proverbs 16:3). Jesus said that if I believed, He would heal me; that my only job was to believe with all my heart and He would move this  mountain.

So I started on a journey of cleansing my mind, body, and soul. But I knew only Jesus could guide and direct me through this process. Every day, I went to God’s Word. That was my medication, and i knew there would be no side effects.

After three months I was checked and my blood work looked pretty good; however, iron levels were low and thyroid levels were low, so I had to work on that. Again, every day, I went to God’s Word and spoke His Word over my circumstance. His Word says nothing is impossible (Matthew 19:26), even though the doctors said they couldn’t do anything for me.

I memorized Scripture, and God’s Word went from my head to my heart. I believed what He said: if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will move whatever mountain you need to move (Matthew 17:20). I looked at my diagnoses as a mountain that God could totally move. I thanked God several times a day for my healing. My focus had to be completely on God’s Word so that i had no doubt He would Heal my body. There were moments and days when I felt like I couldn’t do this, but with an army of friends and family cheering me on, encouraging me, and telling me I could do it, I would quickly shake off defeat and move forward.

After seven months i was given a clean bill of health, and I have never looked back. I still thank Jesus for my healing and great health. Jesus is our ultimate healer. He will guide all our steps if we let Him. We just need to trust that every second of every minute of every day, He has our back, and He wants us to be well and prosper in every avenue of life.
